The Alton Wheaton papers contain primarily financial records and other forms of inventory that Wheaton took while working on his farm. There is also a small section on some of Wheaton’s community activities, some photographs of said activities, and two books on the Wheaton family genealogy. There are also a number of folders containing deeds and titles to various pieces of land Wheaton owned. There are also catalogs, plans, newsletters and brochures on farm topics.

The Alvin E. House papers contains publications written by House on county government and a cooperative extension booklet about the Michigan legislative process. Some of the publications were written with Kenneth Ver Burg and Eugene Wanger. Also included is the publication "Guide to Michigan County Government" by Kenneth Verburg who was House's colleague. Most of the letters, written in 1874, are from Samuel to Elizabeth as he traveled through Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Nebraska as an itinerant farm worker.
